Pure white light from above and a chalk-white expanse below; a scenic flight over Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, Australia’s largest salt lake, soars between the dual reflections of land and sky, creating a visual mirage of one seamless white space. Found about 700 kilometres (435 miles) north of Adelaide, this ancient landscape is almost devoid of noise. Add to that its starkly white appearance and you’ll no doubt feel a profound sense of calm here.
